Join us at The Velvet Hippo for Ask Me to Dance — a salsa class and singles social designed to make meeting people feel natural again.

We’ll start the night with a beginner-friendly salsa lesson (no experience needed). You’ll rotate partners throughout the class so you meet everyone organically — no awkward introductions, no forced icebreakers. Just music, movement, and a reason to laugh.

Then the DJ takes over.

The lights dim.
The cocktails start flowing.
And the dance floor opens.

🎧 A live DJ will keep the energy high with salsa, Latin hits, and feel-good dance tracks.

The Second Song Rule

Here’s how it works: 

During the social, if you really enjoyed dancing with someone, you can ask them for a second song.

That’s it.

A second song simply means:
“I’d like to dance with you again.”

No public rejections.
No pressure.
Just confidence.

If they say yes — you’ve got your answer.
If not — smile and keep dancing.

Come for the lesson.
Stay for the DJ.
Leave with someone who asked you to dance.

Join us for the DJ and singles social after the class.
Guests must arrive before 7:30PM for guaranteed entry.

At The Door 🎫
Available after 7:30PM if capacity allows.
Guests must arrive before 8:30PM and entry is subject to venue capacity.

You’re also welcome to arrive early just to grab a drink and mingle — no one is required to dance. Come for the vibes, stay for the energy.
