Our Matchbox AI Matching Night is back — this time as a Valentine’s Edition, landing in the Laneway at Duporth Tavern on Friday Feb 13, just in time for Valentine’s weekend 🩷

This isn’t speed dating. This isn’t awkward name tags.
This is intentional, value-based matching powered by relationship science, AI and behavioural economics, with just enough mystery to keep things exciting.

💌 How Find Your Mystery Match Works

On arrival, you’ll complete a short questionnaire designed by Matchbox’s relationship scientists and curated by your host.

The algorithm then:

✨ Analyses your values and preferences
✨ Identifies your optimal mystery match at the event
✨ Guides you through fun clue-based moments
✨ Reveals your match later in the night

You must arrive before 7:45pm to be included in the AI matching.

🥂 How the Night Unfolds

7:00pm — Doors open & mingling begins
7:45pm — Doors close, matching begins
7:45–8:45pm — Clues + connection moments
9pm — Mystery matches revealed 💘

💫 A Few Things to Know

• Come with an open mind — the mystery is part of the magic.
• If your match isn’t instant sparks, that’s okay. Matchbox prioritises long-term compatibility and shared values.
• Either way, you’ll meet a gorgeous group of like-minded singles in a relaxed, respectful environment.
• We aim to maintain a 50/50 gender split where possible. If numbers are uneven, some matches may be paired platonically — and in that case, you’ll receive a free ticket to a future Matchbox event of your choice.
