💔 Unlucky in Love: Friday the 13th Comedy Night – Pitch a Friend Edition🎤! 

They say bad luck comes in threes… so why not bring your unluckiest single friend and turn it into a night of laughs, love, and very public encouragement?

This Thursday, we’re flipping the script on dating disasters with a Friday the 13th comedy night, where friends take the mic to pitch their single friend to a room full of eligible strangers. Think funny presentations, red flags spun into green ones, and dating stories that definitely didn’t make it onto the apps.

🍀 Who Should Come?
This event is open to all. Whether you’re single, it’s complicated, there to support a friend or just there for the comedy, this event is for anyone who prefers laughing before flirting, because bad luck is temporary, but a great connection (or at least a great story) might not be.

✨ How the Night Unfolds:

7:00 – 8:30 PM | Arrival & Mingling
Grab a drink, scope the room, and soak in the vibes.

8:30 – 8:45 PM | Comedy Kick-Off
Our comedian Nino opens with laughs, light roasting, and why being “unlucky in love” is basically a personality trait.

8:45 – 10:00 PM | Pitch A Friend
Friends take the stage to sell their single pals — funny, honest, and totally charming. PowerPoints optional, hilarity guaranteed 😏

10:00 – 11:00 PM | Mingling & Flirting
The ice is broken. Chat, laugh, and see which pitches caught your eye… or heart.

🎤 Want to Pitch Your Friend?

We’re accepting applications from people who want to pitch their single friend on stage at this Thursday Dating event. 📩 Send your pitch or presentation by Tuesday, Feb 10th to: monica.roxas@getthursday.com

What to Include in Your Pitch (PPT / PDF / Slides):

1. The Basics – First name only, Age, What they do (job, passion, or “figuring it out”)
2. Why Are They Still Single – the honest-but-loving reason. Bad timing? Too picky? Emotionally available but stuck in situationships?
3. Green Flags – At least 3 reasons they’re genuinely dateable (e.g. communicates well, plans dates, owns a plant)
4. Red Flags 🚩 – 2–3 quirks or flaws—funny, not brutal (e.g. voice-note enthusiast, strong opinions on oat milk, needs alone time)
5. Their Ideal Match – Who should be interested in them? Think values, lifestyle, energy, and vibes.
6. Wild Card Slide (Optional but encouraged) – Choose one: A harmless dating app fail,  a funny dating anecdote, a hot take about dating in Amsterdam, a screenshot that explains everything.
