Adelaide… ready to flirt a little dangerously?
We’re taking over Fumo Blu for a Friday night that’s intimate, electric, and just the right amount of high-tech. Think moody lighting, delicious cocktails, and 150 of the city’s most eligible singles packed into one gorgeous basement bar.

You’ll meet heaps of new people like a normal Thursday event, plus we’ll be matching you with others who share your interests and values. A little curated chemistry never hurt anyone

And yes… it’s on a Friday this time. Come for a couple of hours or stay all night. Either way, it’s going to be big, bold, and very Adelaide.

✨Matching will be powered by Matchbox.

It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. It’s also the same technology behind the Marriage Pact, a tradition at 100+ universities that’s matched more than half a million people to date.

How it works:

• Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
• The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
• After mingling with the whole group, at 8-8.30PM matches are revealed!

Who it’s for:

• The matching process is highly intentional—come with an open mind!
• If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
• At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.
• FYI—We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.

New features we’ll be trying:

• Private messaging—After matches come out, everyone can privately message their match for 30 minutes, without you having to share their contact info. They’ll message a dedicated Matchbox number, which will forward those texts to their match—and vice versa. Each number will only work for 30 minutes after the matches come out. This helps matches find each other even when hosts want to not share contact info between matches. Works across both SMS and WhatsApp.

Event Structure:

• ⏳ 7.00 PM — The event begins on time, bar opens, take YOUR quiz~
• 🚪 8 PM — Doors close, The Algorithm begins computing matches – Must arrive before 8pm for AI matching
• 🕵️ 8 PM — A series of clues to get you closer to your match
• 💘 8.30 PM — Matches revealed
• 🔥 9 PM — Normal Thursday CONTINUES
