An all-love-songs Karaoke just before Valentine’s day – 20+  Thursday 12.02 from 19:00

Legend has it that in the 3rd century AD, Roman Emperor Claudius II banned young soldiers from marrying. He was convinced that single men made better warriors because they lacked emotional ties.

Bishop Valentine of Terni, seeing the injustice, began celebrating marriages in secret. However, if we celebrate Valentine’s Day today with red roses and chocolates for our loved ones, we mainly owe it to Geoffrey Chaucer, who gave the legend its literary flair in The Canterbury Tales.

Valentine was executed on February 14th, 273 AD, leaving us with the modern romantic vision of love and providing inspiration to millions of singers.

But for us singles—who are apparently “more skilled in battle” 🙂 —we won’t let his martyrdom be in vain! We’re going to put all that inspiration to good use by singing the most beautiful Italian and international love songs!

A fun night full of fantastic music 🎶 for ages 20+ in a dedicated design bar. 

Get your voice ready, because we are gathering over 200 singles from the city for a night where nobody sings well and nobody sings badly, but everyone sings loudly!!

Si narra che nell’impero Romano del III secolo d.C. l’imperatore Claudio II avesse vietato il matrimonio ai giovani soldati, convinto che i single combattessero meglio perché privi di legami affettivi.

Il Vescovo Valentino di Terni, vedendo l’ingiustizia, inizio a celebrare matrimoni in gran segreto. 

Ma se oggi festeggiamo San Valentino con rose rosse e cioccolatini per la persona amata, lo dobbiamo principalmente a Geoffrey Chaucer, che nei Racconti di Canterbury diede un tocco letterario alla leggenda. 

Valentino venne giustiziato il 14 Febbraio del 273, regalandoci la moderna visione romantica dell’amore e dando ispirazioni a milioni di cantanti.

Ma noi single, che a quanto pare siamo anche più abili a combattere :), non vogliamo lasciare che questo martirio sia stato invano, e daremo frutto a tutta questa ispirazione cantando le più belle canzoni d’amore italiane e internazionali!
