Are you ready for Tannins & Matches? Join us for an evening of IRL singles, flirting, and meeting your most compatible match!

Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.

🤓How it works:

• Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
• The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
• After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!
• IMPORTANT! YOU MUST HAVE A CELLPHONE CAPABLE OF SCANNING QR CODE TO TAKE QUESTIONNAIRE

What to expect:

• The matching process is highly intentional, come with an open mind.
• If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
• At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.

Event Structure:

This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time.

• 12PM —the event begins on time, bar open to ONLY singles. Arrive at least 10 minutes before door closes to take questionnaire. Upon arrival you will be assigned a wing man/woman.
• 12:45PM—doors close, The Algorithm begins computing matches
• 12:50PM—a series of clues are revealed to break singles into small groups. Everyone in your small group is compatible to you! But there is one best match for you in the group.
• 1:00pm—matches revealed
• 1:10pm—leave match to meet with wing man/woman to discuss experience 
• 1:20PM—open form (feel free to stay with your match or meet other singles)
• 2:30pm—event concludes

FAQs:

Q: What age range is the event for? A: This event is for 40’s and older.

Q: What if I don’t get a match? A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice.

Set in an industrial pocket of San Carlos, Russian Ridge Winery offers a laid-back, intimate winery vibe with a cool, urban twist. Think wine barrels, open warehouse space, and soft natural light pouring in more low-key and social than formal. It’s the kind of spot where you can sip, mingle, and actually connect without the pressure of a stuffy wine scene.

The venue is Wheelchair accessible and there is no cloakroom for attendees
