We’re bringing our matchmaking experience night to Union Street for a night out of LGBTQ+ singles fun! This event is open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community.

*Matching is by Matchbox**. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimises for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.

*How it works:*

– Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host. You will also select your sexuality and this will determine who you will be matched with.

– The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.

– After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!

– If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.

– At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.

**Event Structure:**
Please be on time

– 7:00pm—the event begins on time.

– 8:30pm—doors close, The Algorithm begins computing matches

– 9:00pm—a series of clues

– 9:30pm—matches revealed

– 11:00pm—event concludes

**Q: What if I don’t get a match?**

A: We aim to maintain an even ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.

Many attendees (40%) come by themselves, so even if you’re the only single in your friendship group, don’t hesitate to join us solo. You’ll find yourself in great company.
