How It Works

• Upon arrival, you’ll complete a matchmaking questionnaire designed by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
• The Matchbox algorithm will calculate your optimal match at the event using AI, relationship science, and Nobel Prize–winning economic principles.
• After time to mingle and meet the group, matches are revealed live!

Event Schedule

Please arrive on time — the matching process runs on schedule.

6:30 PM – Event begins, bar opens
8:00 PM – Doors close, the Algorithm begins computing matches
8:05 PM – A series of clues
8:30 PM – Matches revealed
10:30 PM – Event concludes

FAQs

What if I don’t get a match?
We aim for a balanced ratio, but life happens and attendance can vary. If there’s an uneven split, some guests may be paired platonically. Those guests will receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice (valid for 60 days after this event).

You do not need to match with someone on the app to come to an event.

Many attendees (40%) come by themselves, so even if you’re the only single in your friendship group, don’t hesitate to join us solo. You’ll find yourself in great company.
