Perched right between the vibrant U Street nightlife and the charming rowhomes of Shaw, it feels like a snug oasis where laughter, low-key conversation, and excellent wine come together effortlessly 

The word barkada comes from Tagalog—meaning “a group of friends.” The vibe here absolutely honors that spirit—relaxed, friendly, and just slightly cheeky 

You’ll find yourself seated in plush, lounge-y banquettes, surrounded by a thoughtfully curated selection of small-batch, organic, and “natural” wines—many are low-intervention, meaning they’re minimally processed and often organically grown

Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. Event Structure:

• This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time to avoid missing out.
• 6:45pm – the event begins on time, grab a drink, fill in the survey and start mingling
• 7:30pm – The Algorithm begins computing matches
• 7:45pm – a series of clues will appear on your phone
• 8:15pm – matches revealed!

FAQs:

Q: What if I don’t get a match?
A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.
