Matchmaking Details

Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.

How it works:

• Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
• The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
• After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!

• The matching process is highly intentional—come with an open mind.
• If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.

Event Structure:

This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time.

• 5:30 pm—the event begins on time (Mingling hour)
• 6:45 pm—doors close, The Algorithm begins computing matches
• 6:55 pm—first clue drop – break into groups
• 7:05 pm—second clue drop – break into subgroups
• 7:15 pm—match #1 revealed
• 7:30 pm—match #2 revealed
• 7:45 pm—match #3 revealed
• 8:30 pm—event concludes

FAQs:

Q: What age range is the event for? A: This event is for mid-twenties to forties. 

Q: What if I don’t get a match? A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.

Q: What is your refund policy? A: We need to balance the party, and that involves planning! So no refunds can be granted, although in rare cases we may be able to extend a credit to a future event.

🥰 Many attendees (40%) come by themselves, so even if you’re the only single in your friendship group, don’t hesitate to join us solo. You’ll find yourself in great company.
